Editorial Policy
How CalorieCalc.fit researches, writes, reviews, sources, and updates educational calculator content.
Our Purpose
CalorieCalc.fit publishes educational content about calories, nutrition, weight management, and fitness calculations. Our goal is to make health and nutrition information easier to understand and more practical for everyday use.
We write for people who want a clearer starting point, not a medical prescription. Our calculators and articles are meant to explain estimates, assumptions, and next steps in plain language.
Calculator and Content Standards
Our calculators and articles are based on commonly used formulas, publicly available research, and reputable health and nutrition references where appropriate. These may include original formula papers, public health agencies, government resources, academic references, and recognized nutrition or medical organizations.
Calorie needs vary from person to person, and all calculator results should be treated as estimates. We aim to explain what each calculator can estimate, what assumptions it uses, and where personal or clinical guidance may be needed.
Sources and References
When a claim depends on outside support, we aim to use sources that are:
- Relevant to the calculator, formula, or health topic being discussed
- Publicly accessible where possible
- Recognizable, such as government, academic, clinical, or primary research sources
- Presented in context, without overstating what the source proves
We avoid presenting a single study, formula, or calculator output as a universal answer. Where evidence is limited or context-dependent, we try to make that limitation clear.
AI-Assisted Drafting
Content may be researched, drafted, edited, or improved with the help of AI tools. However, AI assistance does not replace editorial review. Pages are reviewed before publication for clarity, usefulness, factual accuracy, and appropriate health boundaries.
We do not intentionally publish AI-generated claims without checking whether they fit the page purpose, calculator behavior, and available sources.
Review and Updates
We aim to update our content when formulas, guidelines, source pages, calculator behavior, product features, or relevant references change. We may also revise pages to improve clarity, correct errors, add context, or make safety language more useful.
Blog guides and reference pages may display published and updated dates. Older content may be reviewed when traffic, user feedback, source changes, or product changes indicate that an update would be useful.
Corrections and Feedback
We welcome corrections, source suggestions, and product feedback. If you believe a page is unclear, outdated, or inaccurate, contact us at support@caloriecalc.fit. Please include the page URL, what you think should be reviewed, and any source you want us to consider.
When we confirm a meaningful error, we aim to correct it within a reasonable timeframe based on severity, user impact, and the amount of review required.
Advertising and Editorial Independence
CalorieCalc.fit may use advertising or analytics services. Advertising relationships do not control our calculator formulas, safety warnings, editorial conclusions, or source selection.
We aim to keep educational content separate from advertising and to avoid presenting ads or third-party offers as medical, nutrition, or fitness advice from CalorieCalc.fit.
Medical and Safety Boundary
The information on this website is for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or fitness advice.
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are under 18, have a history of disordered eating, are considering a very low calorie diet, or need personalized dietary guidance, please consult a qualified healthcare or nutrition professional.
